How can I register to attend the Children and HIV: Closing the Gap: Ending Vertical Transmission through Community Action symposium in Washington, D.C., 2012?

Registration is now open and you can register through the Registration page of this website. There is no registration charge.

How do I apply for a scholarship, and what kind of funding will I receive?

Those interested in applying for a scholarship must complete the online scholarship application form.
Please note that the level of support requested may not be the level of support granted. Full and partial scholarships will be awarded.
In all cases individuals will be required to cover the cost of incidental expenses, some meals and any optional extra expenses. To apply for a scholarship, go to our Scholarships page.

Do I need a visa to enter the U.S.?

Please refer to our Visa Information page and follow the links provided to determine whether or not you will need a visa and what type you will need.

What if I need a Letter of Invitation in order to obtain a visa?

Delegates requiring a Letter of Invitation in order to obtain a visa to attend the symposium can request one. See the Letter of Invitation page for more details.

Can you recommend any hotels near to the symposium?

Information on hotel accommodation in Washington D.C. is available on the Hotel Accommodation page.

What languages will be used at the conference?

The official language of the conference is English however some sessions will be interpreted French and Spanish in two of the presentation rooms. Most of the conference printed materials (general Information brochure, signage, press kits etc.) and the conference website will be in English. Immediately prior to the conference, the program will be available to download in French and Spanish. This information will be on the website when available.
